Who We Are:
PSDS Inc. are the heirs of Policronio S.Dano, Sr. as well as close family friends. Mr. Dano was an educator - teacher, school principal and district supervisor of Philippine Department of Education, Region 7, Carmen School District, Carmen. Bohol. When schools were closed during WWII, he personally hired, on his expense, a teacher to conduct a school-in-hiding to children in the neighborhood so that kids did not forget what they learned. To continue this legacy, his heirs donated a lot in his name for a high school site. The PSDS High School opened in 2004.
Since it opened, PSDS Inc has donated to the school needed classroom resources, student grants - a thousand so far, supplies and equipment - printers, projectors and computers. Heirs and friends established PSDS Educational and Cultural Assistance Inc. , a US based non-profit foundation to continue the effort.
How Assistance is Provided
To qualify for PSDS Inc Grant, parents of qualified student are required to volunteer for a minimum of 4 hrs. per quarter.
PSDS Inc has no hand-to-hand cash transaction. Assistance is provided either in kind or via bank or independent party.
Anyone who wishes to donate to any school in the Philippines can do so via PSDS Inc and take advantage its US 501(c)(3) status.
Since school opened in 2000, PSDS Inc. provided grants to an average of 75 students per year. Grant pays for basic school supplies and non-school funded extra-curricular activities. Average grant to a qualified student is around $35 per year. About ten members of the present faculty were graduates from the school.

How PSDS Inc can help:
When you donate to PSDS Inc we will send the funds directly to the school or to a local PSDS Inc representative or trusted third party to ensure your money goes to the exact cause you specify. PSDS Inc will ask for confirmation from the recipient and this will be made available to you at your option. Recipient will get no less than 95% of your funds.
And because PSDS Inc. is a recognized US IRC Code 501(c)(3) organization your donation will be tax deductible.
How to Help:
Should you find yourself in a position to share what you have, the foundation welcomes cash and in-kind donations. Where possible, PSDS Inc. strives to adhere to its guideline for giving assistance: that PSDS Inc. will not provide full assistance but rather just contribute to it. The recipient must have some personal liability to the help provided. Example: a printer is needed by a teacher, PSDS Inc will pay at least half or more of its cost and the teacher pays for the remainder, usually in term payment. Likewise, on the student grant, student must qualify to grade requirement and maintain it better that grade to keep the grant."
